This bacteria consortium from Ecocreation is a unique product capable of digesting nappies in 48 hours. The bacteria consortium is one of the key elements in the process of processing nappies in the Ecocreation machine. This machine is specially designed to digest nappies in combination with organic (food) waste. The consortium was developed in conjunction with the design and construction of the Ecocreation machine for processing incontinence materials.
Bacteria consortium
Ongoing and intensive research has produced a bacterial consortium that largely accelerates the natural digestion of the biodegradable parts of nappy products. In fact, it truly enables on-site biodegradation of nappies.
It provides a volume and weight reduction of approximately 80% of used nappy waste in 48 hours. The reduction is carried out in a hygienic way, free from unwanted odors and yields a product that is free from unwanted odors.
Because drugs may remain in the faeces and non-degradable plastics, the main goal is to save costs through waste reduction, some 80%, and provide a hygienic solution for temporary on-site storage.
And the bacteria consortium is optimising the performance of rapid-digesting processes of organic (food) waste in combination with nappy processing.
The output
The output can be stored in standard containers, which are disposed of for incineration by the waste management company as required. For example, once a month.
The Ecocreation machines for nappies are equipped with additional facilities for processing nappy material, creating the right environment for the bacterial consortium to operate.
The Ecocreation bacteria consortium combines different types of micro-organisms in a unique composition for the rapid degradation of nappies and category 3 waste and cellulose-rich materials such as paper, cardboard and sugarcane products. The synergy created between the micro-organisms enables them to digest many types of organic material in combination with the nappies in a very short time.
Biodegradation
Ecocreation's adapted machines enable the bacterial consortium to convert matter quickly to achieve maximum efficiency and get the conversion process started quickly. Either at the first start-up cycle or at a new start-up.
The Ecocreation bacteria consortium enables biodegradation while limiting the spread of pathogens. Unlike pathogenic germs, the Ecocreation bacteria consortium can withstand the hygienisation phase: 1 hour at 70 degrees Celsius. Ecocreation machines comply with European standards and regulations for composting with animal products.
